Privacy Policy

App: Goose Alarm
Developer: itella
Effective date: May 14, 2026
Last updated: May 14, 2026
TL;DR. Goose Alarm collects no personal data. The free app runs entirely offline. The optional Premium Custom Voice feature sends the text you enter to our server (which forwards it to ElevenLabs for voice generation) — we do not retain that text and do not identify you.

1. Information We Collect

None that we retain. Goose Alarm does not collect or store any personally identifiable information, advertising identifiers, location data, contacts, photos, microphone input, or usage analytics on our servers. The app contains no analytics SDK, advertising SDK, crash reporting SDK, or other tracking library.

If you are a Premium subscriber and use the Custom Voice feature, the text you enter is transmitted in real time to our server and forwarded to ElevenLabs solely to generate the requested audio. We do not store this text; our server logs only metadata (text length and the voice selector) — never the text content. See Sections 5 and 6 for details.

2. Information Stored on Your Device

The app stores the following data locally on your device only:

This data never leaves your device. We do not operate any servers that retain your data.

3. AlarmKit (Apple System Service)

Goose Alarm uses Apple's AlarmKit framework to schedule and deliver alarms. AlarmKit operates entirely on your device and is governed by Apple's privacy practices. We do not receive any information about your alarms or how you interact with them.

You may revoke alarm permission at any time in iOS Settings → Goose Alarm.

4. Audio and Video Content

Most audio and video content played by the app is bundled with the app at install time or delivered through the Apple App Store. Premium subscribers can additionally generate custom voice clips through the Custom Voice feature; the resulting audio is delivered from our server to your device for playback and cached locally. We do not log playback events.

5. Third-Party Services

The free app integrates no third-party analytics, advertising networks, crash reporting services, social media SDKs, or tracking libraries.

For the Premium Custom Voice feature, the text you enter is forwarded by our server to ElevenLabs, a third-party text-to-speech provider, solely to synthesize the requested audio. We send only the text and a voice selector — no user identifier, account, IP address, device ID, or other personal data is sent to ElevenLabs by us. ElevenLabs's handling of received data is governed by its own privacy policy.

If we add any additional third-party service in the future, we will require that party to provide data protection at a level equal to what is described in this policy and required by the App Store Review Guidelines, and we will update this policy before any such integration takes effect.

6. Network Activity

Goose Alarm makes network requests only for the optional Premium Custom Voice feature. The free app and all alarm-ringing functionality work entirely offline.

When you use the Custom Voice feature, your device contacts our server at tts.goose-alarm.work, which in turn contacts ElevenLabs. Your IP address is briefly observable to our server for the duration of the request and is used only for short-window abuse rate limiting (retained no longer than two minutes, then automatically deleted). It is not logged, sold, or shared.

7. Security

Because we do not retain personal data, we operate no user databases that could be breached. Data stored locally on your device is protected by iOS device-level security (your passcode, Face ID / Touch ID, and the system app sandbox) maintained by Apple. Network requests to our server are encrypted in transit via HTTPS / TLS.

8. Data Retention

We retain no user data beyond ephemeral rate-limit counters keyed by IP that expire within two minutes. Because we collect nothing else, there is nothing further on our side to retain. Data stored locally on your device persists only as long as Goose Alarm is installed; deleting the app removes all of it.

9. Revoking Consent and Requesting Deletion

You may revoke any system permissions you have granted to Goose Alarm (such as alarm permission) at any time in iOS Settings → Goose Alarm.

Because we do not retain personal data, there is no data on our side for you to access, correct, or request the deletion of. To remove all app data from your device, simply delete the app — uninstalling Goose Alarm removes all locally stored alarms, preferences, and cached audio. If you nevertheless wish to confirm that we hold no data about you, contact us using the information in Section 14.

10. Privacy Rights for EEA / UK Residents (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the rights to access, correct, erase, restrict processing of, and port your personal data, as well as the right to object to processing and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Because Goose Alarm retains no personal data, we hold no records against which to exercise these rights. If you have any concern, you may contact us using the information in Section 14.

11. Privacy Rights for California Residents (CCPA / CPRA)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA) gives you the rights to know, delete, correct, and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, and the right to non-discrimination for exercising these rights. Goose Alarm does not sell or share any personal information, and we retain none on our servers, so there is nothing for us to disclose, delete, or opt you out of. We do not respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals because the app performs no tracking.

12. Children's Privacy

Goose Alarm is not directed at children under 13 (United States) or 16 (European Economic Area). We do not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children. If you believe data about a child has somehow reached us, please contact us — though, as noted above, our server retains no user data.

13. Changes to This Policy

If our data practices change in the future (for example, to add opt-in crash reporting or analytics), we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and post the revised policy at the same URL. Material changes will also be surfaced to you through an in-app notice before they take effect.
